Why “Walter G”?

While Walter G. Stumbo passed away in 1996, we are often reminded of him. One of the ways was his old briefcase. Tom found himself one day with too many papers for his usual briefcase, and needed a second to tide him over for the upcoming hearing. Searching a nearby closet he found a suitable candidate, embossed with “Walter G. Stumbo” under the clasp. Thereafter, it became a community briefcase–affectionately known as “Walter G”.

It seems right to us name this blog this way. We will use it when we can, and hope to put some useful stuff in it now and again. But now it will always be around, a ready reminder of Walt and his legacy.
