Quentin Kurtz

Quentin Kurtz grew up in Hays, Kansas and Manhattan, Kansas, graduating from Manhattan High School in 1975. He graduated Cum Laude from Kansas State University in 1979 with a degree in political science and a minor in economics. While at Kansas State, Quentin received the Delehanty Scholarship as the outstanding economics student and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. He went to law school at the University of Kansas, graduating in 1983. While at KU, Quentin was an Associate Editor of the Law Review and had a student piece published in the Law Review. While in school, he worked for a large Wichita law firm. After law school, he worked for a mid-size Wichita law firm and then for a large corporation with its headquarters in Wichita.

Quentin’s practice focuses on corporate transactional practice and the representation of rural water districts and cities which the firm represents. He has handled numerous corporate acquisitions and has extensive experience in contract, corporate, regulatory and appellate law. He has argued cases before the Kansas Supreme Court, the Kansas Court of Appeals, the Court of Appeals of the Tenth Circuit and the Court of Appeals of the Eighth Circuit. He has also written and submitted legal briefs to the Court of Appeals of the Fifth Circuit. Quentin is a member of the Kansas Bar Association and the Topeka Bar Association. Quentin lives in Overland Park with his wife Linda and their children John and Rebecca.
